Monitoring automatically checks whether your services are up and running. When something fails, it starts an incident and alerts you and your users. To create a monitor, go to Monitors → Create. BetterStatus offers four monitor types:
  • API Endpoint — checks if an endpoint is responding, e.g. api.acme.com
  • SSL Certificate — tracks certificate expiry on your domains
  • Ping / ICMP — pings your server to detect downtime or high latency
  • Website — checks if a webpage is loading
