An incident is a record of a service disruption. When something breaks, an incident gets created to track everything from the first alert to the moment it’s fixed.

How are incidents created?

  • Automatically from monitors: This is how most incidents start. A monitor detects that something isn’t working and an incident is created.
  • Manually from the dashboard: You can open an incident yourself directly from the dashboard.
