Webhooks - BetterStatus Documentation

BetterStatus sends a POST request to a URL of your choice whenever a monitor changes status. Useful for triggering custom workflows, internal tools, or third-party integrations. Webhooks are available on the Pro and Enterprise plans.

Enabling for yourself

Go to Monitors → Your monitor → Alerts and add a webhook URL. We’ll send a JSON payload to that endpoint on every status change.

Enabling for your users

Users can add their own webhook URL from your status page. Go to Status Pages → Your page → Alerts to control whether webhooks are available as a subscription option.

Unsubscribing (users)

To unsubscribe, users can re-enter the same webhook URL on your status page. Submitting it a second time removes it.

Payload

When a status change occurs, we send a POST request with a JSON body like this:
